Residents and Family Members,
We continue to be COVID free on the Campus. The hospital census reported has remained relatively constant and positive or presumptive COVID patients remained the same at 5 individuals reported in Parkview and 0 in St Mary Corwin.

The outdoor visitations have continued and many of our residents have had the opportunity to enjoy seeing family. Thank you for your patience with us in scheduling and completing the visits. Your understanding has made this a positive experience for the staff as well as our residents. So again, thank you for your part in helping us implement these visits.

Unfortunately, we still have no update for our beautician services on campus and continue to coordinate our desire with the same practices in place for our staff to resume these services. It seems all we get for updates are rumors and are left waiting for the official notification, whether from the Governor’s office or the regulatory agencies. We will continue to update the status as changes are made. For those families who reside out of town, elect not to visit in person, or wish to supplement in-person visits with additional communication methods, you are reminded to contact the facility to arrange a video call, telephone call, or use the care mail feature found on our home page. Families that have used care mail have impacted the lives of their loved ones with their notes and pictures.

Finally, we are currently having no issue to acquire protective equipment based on current supplies and our needs. The health industry and suppliers are indicating due to COVID issues in the Asian rim where much of our supplies for gloves originates, there is a possibility of limited availability in the foreseeable future for gloves. We have been slowly increased our orders over the past few weeks and recently entered into an agreement with a vendor to supply a designated number of items each month for Sep through Feb. The supplier has indicated increased demand from Europe may impact supply lines for some of the protective equipment. I believe we have been addressing the sourcing and purchasing of protective equipment for the past couple of months that will enable us to meet the requirements for our staff and keep our residents safe.

Sincerely,
Keith Jackson
Executive Director
