Residents and Family Members,

We continue to be COVID free on the campus. This daily county report identified 105 cases for September so far. The hospital census is currently 6 positives/presumptive COVID patients reported in Parkview and 0 in St Mary Corwin. No new outbreaks were reported in the past week.

We are testing today for staff and residents who have been out of the building in the past 14 days. Samples will be sent to the lab tomorrow and results should be back by Saturday. We have implemented mandatory testing for staff and those who elect to not test are required to remain out of the building for 14 days and be symptom free before returning. As to this writing, staff are completing the test rather than go home. We will continue testing staff throughout the afternoon and our night shift will be tested this evening. In addition, our care partners (hospice, home health, other medical providers) have been informed they will need to provide a negative test to the facility before the end of the month or will not be able to re-enter until a negative test is provided.

For the care center, we returned our plan of correction for out survey conducted on 12-13 Aug and have informed the Health Department we are compliant with identified deficiencies effective 11 Sep. We are continuing to encourage social distancing and mask (or nose/mouth covering) for the residents when out of room or when staff present in the room as well as strict compliance with hand hygiene as we move through the facility. We will now begin our period of monitoring for the compliance with our corrective actions by the staff.
