Residents and Family Members,
We continue to be COVID free on the campus and testing from last week were negative. This daily county report identified 149 cases for September so far. The hospital census is currently 4 positives/presumptive COVID patients reported in Parkview and 0 in St Mary Corwin. Two new outbreaks were reported in the past week in local retail/manufacturing businesses.
Recently, a family member was kind enough to share a perspective from the family members viewpoint of our visits. Following is our process with updates for the visits where appropriate:
- Contact the facility Mon-Fri between 8-4:30 at 719-544-1173 to schedule your visit. We ask you only schedule one visit per week to allow as many families to visit as possible. (No Friday visits at Chateau due to staffing.)
- Please do not call on the weekend to schedule an appointment as appointments are only made M-F.
- Visits are scheduled for 15 minutes with no more than two visitors at a time can be scheduled.
- Please review this information addressing self-screening for the day of visit, social distancing and mask wearing. If you have any questions after review, please contact us prior to your visit.
- Before Entering
- Stop the Germs
- Outdoor Visit Guidelines as directed by the State Health Department. These are the requirements we are directed to follow in implementing our visit practice.
- You will be met outside our facilities by staff at your designated visit time. For screening of any symptoms and a temperature check per CDC guidelines. Any visitor with symptoms in the previous 14 days will not be able to visit and any resident who is currently in isolation will not be able participate in outdoor visits.
- All visitors must wear a face mask or cloth face covering throughout the visit.
- All visitors will need to supply name and contact information should contact tracing become necessary.
- Our visitation areas are as follows: Chateau will visit outside the east entrance by parking lot; Care center will visit on patio.
- To facilitate our ability to prepare for visits, we have removed much of the furniture so please bring you own chair if you desire to sit during your visit. Chairs in the area will be reserved for resident use. If you bring a chair, please ensure you have cleaned & disinfected the item before entering the visitation area.
Additional visits during the week if space is available can be scheduled. Our process for scheduling additional visits during the week is to call the day before the desired visit between 4-4:30 pm (M-F) to determine if any visiting opportunities exist for the next day. The open time slots will be filled first come, first serve.
