Residents and Family Members,
As we are finally enjoying warmer weather, many of our visits have been conducted outdoors. However, as we are seeing some days are very warm. For those scheduling visits, the preferred location is outdoors for the visit, but we can accommodate indoor visits when the weather makes this more appropriate. As a reminder, the indoor visits for scheduled visits are in a common area and not the resident’s room per our guidelines. For vaccinated visits, this direction does not apply, and in-room visits (private occupancy) are permitted in accordance with current guidance. Currently, we are not hearing of any pending changes to the direction for visitation from the health department but continue to participate in calls to discuss current guidance and pass your feedback to the group for inclusion in future decision making.
The last day for the FEMA sponsored vaccination clinic at the fairgrounds was Monday. County health officials coordinated with a private company to continue to provide a community clinic and is being moved to be co-located at the Pueblo Mall at the site of current testing. The vaccinations will be offered Thursday, Friday and Saturday from 10am-5pm. This will be our primary location for new residents who desire vaccinations in the future.
Active outbreaks have reduced to 20 (26 last week) still active in the community with 5 of those being in health facilities/entities (0 new in the last week). Positives for Jun are 112 while the rolling average for positive results for individuals tested in the last 7 days, maintained at 2.5%. Parkview Hospital decreased hospitalizations related to COVID with 16 cases while St Mary Corwin has 0 COVID cases in their care. Parkview reported occupancy at 198 while St Mary Corwin is reporting 13 for occupancy. This leaves 74 available beds between the hospitals.
