Residents and Family Members,
Unfortunately, this letter is to inform you earlier today we had a positive antigen test at Sharmar today and as a result per state guidelines, indoor visits have been stopped. As the campus is segregated between LTC and ALF, Chateau indoor visits may continue. We have initiated PCR testing for all residents and staff. Indoor visitation resumption is dependent on the results of our 100% testing. We will need to have one round of testing with negative results. If today’s antigen positive is confirmed with the PCR test, the first round would not be initiated until Tuesday when we would complete another sampling of 100% of eligible residents and staff. The results would not be known until Thursday at the earliest and may not be known until Friday.
Therefore, regardless of your vaccination status, no indoor visits are currently permitted while at Sharmar we are conducting testing and have received one round of all negatives. If you would like to contact the facility to schedule an outdoor visit, please call and as a reminder the available times are 9:30 or 10:30 in the morning or 1:30 or 2:30 in the afternoon with only 2 visits available during each time period to meet our social distancing requirements. Visits will be scheduled for :45 minutes.
Finally, as a reminder complete hand hygiene often during visits and masks are required to be worn at all times.
