Residents and Family Members,
As we are finally enjoying warmer weather, many of our visits have been conducted outdoors. The residents have appreciated the opportunity to get outside and enjoy some sunshine. The new visitation rules have also assisted in this and there is improved outlook among our residents as they have the opportunity to visit more often.
The last day for the FEMA sponsored vaccination clinic at the fairgrounds is Monday, 14 Jun. Coordination with county health officials has revealed a plan to move the clinics to the mall (co-located with testing) for vaccinations going forward. Specific details for dates and times of the clinics are still being determined, but the vaccinations for those needing the vaccine will be provided through this source. This is the least impactful on residents for as they do not have to exit the van. We have also entered into an agreement with a local pharmacy to provide minimal quantities for individual vaccinations if unable to utilize the community clinic. Currently, 78% of residents and 93% staff in Sharmar Village are fully vaccinated while Chateau is at 91% for residents and 83% staff are vaccinated.
Active outbreaks have reduced to 26 (33 last week) still active in the community with 7 of those being in health facilities/entities (0 new in the last week). Positives for Jun are 65 while the rolling average for positive results for individuals tested in the last 7 days decreased from 8.9% to 2.5%. Parkview Hospital decreased hospitalizations related to COVID with 17 cases while St Mary Corwin has 2 COVID cases in their care. Parkview reported occupancy at 196 while St Mary Corwin is reporting 22 for occupancy. This leaves 67 available beds between the hospitals.
